LuxGroup Foundation lights up the Rocky Highlands in Ha Giang with 30 solar-powered lamps

LuxGroup Foundation – the charitable arm of LuxGroup – has completed its community initiative “Lighting Up the Rocky Highlands” in Lung Sinh Hamlet, Pho Bang Commune, Tuyen Quang Province. The project installed 30 solar-powered lights along the main village road and at the local school.

Beyond illuminating the rugged mountain paths, the initiative also brought joy to the community with Lung Sinh’s very first Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. More than 100 children and villagers gathered under the newly lit streets, parading with lanterns, singing, and receiving meaningful gifts from the volunteer team.

Located deep within the core of the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, Lung Sinh is an isolated hamlet with limited infrastructure. The community has 68 households, of which 56 are classified as poor or near-poor. The installation of solar-powered lights not only improves safety for villagers traveling after dark but also enhances their overall quality of life.

The project was carried out with the support of Ha Giang Youth Volunteers, Lux Cruises Group, local authorities from Lung Sinh and Pho Bang, and generous donors. In addition to installing the lights, the volunteer team visited some disadvantaged households to distribute rice, warm blankets, and school supplies to children in the village.

Dr. Pham Ha, Founder and CEO of LuxGroup, shared:
“Lighting Up the Rocky Highlands is not just a charitable program, but a long-term commitment to the community. Witnessing the joy of villagers and the smiles of children celebrating Mid-Autumn under the new lights strengthens our belief in our mission to deliver happiness through tourism and ESG values.”

The program concluded with heartfelt emotions, leaving behind lasting impressions of compassion, unity, and hope for a brighter future in Lung Sinh.
