Origins and Mission
Lux Cruises Group® was founded with the ambition to become Vietnam’s leading luxury cruise corporation, pioneering three boutique brands: Emperor Cruises, Heritage Cruises, and Amiral Cruises for Presidents.
Inspired by the entrepreneurial legacy of shipping tycoon Bạch Thái Bưởi (1874–1932), Lux Cruises Group® has gone beyond creating 5-star cruise services to design immersive journeys of culture, fine arts, architecture, fashion, gastronomy, and heritage along Vietnam’s waterways. Over nearly a decade, the Group has established itself as Vietnam’s first boutique cruise line, synonymous with refined experiences, authenticity, and a deeply human touch.
Memorable Milestones
• 2014: Founded Emperor Cruises Ltd., launching the Emperor Cruises Origin sailing ship in Nha Trang — the first to offer sunset and dinner cruises in the bay.
• 2017: Launched Emperor Cruises Legacy Hạ Long (10 cabins), inspired by 1930s Nguyễn Dynasty palatial style, with exclusive journeys: “A Royal Night” (1 night) and “The Emperor’s Voyage” (2 nights) in UNESCO-listed Hạ Long Bay.
• 2019: Introduced Heritage Cruises Bình Chuẩn (20 cabins) in Lan Hạ – Hải Phòng, inspired by Bạch Thái Bưởi’s legendary vessel, and pioneered 3-night voyages in the Gulf of Tonkin. In the same year, Lux Cruises Group was officially established, uniting the Emperor and Heritage brands.

Expansion and Vision 2045
Lux Cruises Group is advancing a series of strategic projects:
• 2026: Launch of Amiral Cruises for Presidents (299 guests) on the Saigon River.
• 2027: Debut of Emperor Cruises Grandeur Nha Trang, the largest sailing cruise ship in the bay.
• 2029: Commencement of the twin cruises Phi Long & Phi Phượng in Cát Bà (55–100 cabins).
• 2030: Completion of the iconic twin vessels SPIRIT & PRESIDENT under The Lux Yacht Collection, connecting Vietnam’s coastal heritage from Hạ Long to Saigon.
Looking ahead to 2045, Lux Cruises Group together with Lux Yachts Group affirms its spirit as a national enterprise, carrying forward the legacy of Bạch Thái Bưởi. The Group aims to operate 30 boutique cruises proudly “Made in Vietnam” and sailing under the Vietnamese flag, positioning Vietnam as a premier global maritime tourism nation.
