Mesmerizing with Luxurious Interiors on Bao Dai-Style Cruise in Halong Bay
The Emperor Legacy Halong overnight cruise offers a luxurious design that ensures guests always feel special and comfortable. Following the success of the day cruise in Nha Trang, Emperor Cruises has launched an overnight cruise inspired by the Bao Dai style on Bai Tu Long Bay, Halong, and Cat Ba.
The overnight cruise features 10 cabins with a capacity for 20 guests and up to a maximum of 30 guests. All 10 cabins are suites with private balconies, panoramic sea views, and personalized service. This is also the first cruise to offer all-inclusive services, from private attendants to limousine transfers.
The reception area is meticulously designed
Inspired by Emperor Bao Dai, the last emperor of Vietnam, this masterpiece is designed to emulate the style of the 1930s, serving as a place for guests to explore Vietnam’s culture, history, arts, and cuisine. It is a perfect blend of royal elegance and the nation’s precious heritage. Every guest is treated like a king and queen in a luxurious, refined space where every detail is meticulously cared for.

Each room is named after the resorts and travel destinations associated with Emperor Bao Dai’s life, such as Hue, Do Son, Dalat, Vung Tau, Lak Lake, Nha Trang, Hanoi, and Saigon.
Escape the bustling city and return to the northeastern islands of the country at Bai Tu Long Bay, Quang Ninh—a place known for its pristine beauty, even considered more beautiful than Halong Bay. With its exceptional natural environment and landscape, Bai Tu Long Bay consists of thousands of limestone mountains and small islands, interspersed with fishing villages, unspoiled beaches, caves, and small inlets where you can relax and immerse yourself in nature.
Each bedroom has a balcony for viewing Halong Bay. The rooms are equipped with modern bathrooms, allowing guests to enjoy the scenery at all times and dine at any desired location.
Description of the Queen Suite according to Jusuxe: The most alluring room on the Emperor Legacy Halong
The Queen Suite is named after Queen Nam Phuong (1914-1963), renowned for her unparalleled beauty, born in Go Cong, Mekong Delta. Later, she became the first queen of the Nguyen Dynasty when she married Emperor Bao Dai, the last emperor of Vietnam, and was the final queen of the dynasty.
The Queen Suite exudes femininity, intimacy, and elegance, while still being luxurious and spacious. The bedroom is furnished with a graceful bed, curtains, antique lamps, a dressing table, colonial wardrobe, antiques, and exquisite handcrafted artworks, all creating a luxurious and solemn atmosphere—fit for a queen.
When entering the room, guests will find a bar area, a table with the Queen’s seal, a separate living room, a bedroom with a double bed, and a private bathroom with a large basin, a whirlpool tub, and a separate shower.
The suite features a Queen-sized bed offering the best views from the private balcony and sun terrace. The spacious living room has original wooden floors, a fireplace, and a bookshelf.
With an area of 70m², this is one of the two largest suites on Emperor Cruises and the largest in the bay in 2017. The room is designed with a blend of traditional French classic architecture and the elegance of Vietnam, with luxurious amenities including WiFi, LED TV with DVD, iPad, iPod, and butler service.
Mr. Pham Ha, co-founder of Lux Cruises Group, the managing unit of Emperor Cruises, shares:
“Halong has been famous for its overnight experiences, but there has yet to be a truly luxurious experience that touches the emotions of ultra-luxury guests. Therefore, we have created groundbreaking luxury and artistic experiences on this new cruise in the region. Guests only pay once, and all services are included in the price, including limousine transfers from Hanoi and renowned butler service.”
The three-deck cruise is built like a traditional ship, with sails, high-quality materials, and gold-plated motifs, silk, velvet, and other premium materials. All 10 cabins are named after Bao Dai’s villas stretching from North to South, such as Dalat, Nha Trang, and Vung Tau, with each room telling a story of the location and memories associated with the former emperor Bao Dai.
Emperor currently offers three experience packages: a day cruise, an imperial overnight experience, and an immersion into unspoiled nature. Emperor Cruises is also adorned with paintings by the famous artist Pham Luc, who is likened to Vietnam’s Picasso, making Emperor Cruises a destination for luxury tourists seeking to explore the uniqueness and essence of Vietnamese fine arts.
The Emperor Cruise is designed for individual travelers, small groups, and private charter services for special needs. The ship is an ideal destination for those visiting Bai Tu Long Bay and Halong Bay for the first time or returning for unique, distinct, and exceptional experiences.
When service reaches the level of art, the Emperor Cruises Legacy Halong is especially suitable for travelers who want to relax, explore in luxury, enjoy honeymoons, travel with family, and especially for those who love adventure, nature, art, photography, special events, celebrities, and ultra-VIP personalities.
In addition to Emperor Cruises Legacy in Halong and Bai Tu Long, Lux Cruises also has Emperor Cruises Origin in Nha Trang Bay and Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan in the Cat Ba archipelago. Coming soon is Amiral Cruises for Presidents on the Saigon River and Nha Trang Bay, with 300 guests to be launched in 2025.
Mr. Ha stated that Lux Cruises Group aims to launch 30 tourist and cruise ships from now until 2045, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam’s founding and the 45th anniversary of LuxGroup’s establishment. These cruises will operate on the most beautiful rivers and bays in Vietnam, running along the coast from North to South, and carrying the Vietnamese flag worldwide, continuing the dream of “Made in Vietnam” ships by maritime king Bach Thai Buoi.
