Formation and Growth
Lux Cruises Group, formerly known as Emperor Cruises Company Limited, was established in 2014 in Ha Long with the vision of bringing Vietnam’s heritage and culture closer to premium domestic and international travelers.
- 2015: Launched its first brand, Emperor Cruises Origin Nha Trang, in Nha Trang Bay, quickly becoming a symbol of the boutique luxury cruise industry.
- 2017: Expanded to Halong Bay with Emperor Cruises Legacy Halong, catering to 30 high-end guests.
- 2019: Renamed as Lux Cruises Group and acquired the Heritage Cruises brand, marking a milestone in scale and service expansion.
Mission and Achievements
Inspired by the entrepreneurial legacy of the “King of Cruise Ships” Bạch Thái Bưởi (1874-1932), Lux Cruises Group provides unique and inspiring waterway travel experiences across Vietnam’s major rivers and coastal areas.

Expansion and Innovation
Lux Cruises Group continues to innovate and expand its fleet with strategic projects:
- 2025: Launch of Emperor Cruises Grandeur Nha Trang, the largest sailboat in Nha Trang Bay, accommodating 299 guests.
- 2025: Introduction of Amiral Cruises for Presidents, inspired by the historical journey of Amiral Latouche Tréville, on the Saigon River.
- 2026: Construction of twin cruises Phi Long and Phi Phuong in the Cat Ba Archipelago, designed with 55-100 cabins for extended stays.
- 2030: Completion of flagship cruises SPIRIT and PRESIDENT, part of The Lux Yacht Collection, connecting heritage destinations along Vietnam’s coastline from Ha Long to Saigon.
