THE LUX YACHT COLLECTION EMBARKS ON A SEA ADVENTURE WITH VIETNAM’S INAUGURAL MEGA YACHT, OFFERING EXCLUSIVE BESPOKE YACHT EXPERIENCES
Launching in 2025 for celebrating 20th anniversary of LuxGroup, These Custom-Built Luxury Yachts Will Introduce the Signature LuxGroup (https://www.luxgroup.vn) Service and Style to Unprecedented Destinations Along Vietnam’s Coastline, Marking a Historic Milestone.
“Cruising along the picturesque Vietnamese coast has been my lifelong dream. After exploring Vietnam’s most captivating rivers and bays, including Nha Trang, Halong, Lan Ha, Bai Tu Long, and Van Don, the time has come to set sail on the open sea with a Vietnamese-flagged luxury fleet.
The Lux Yacht Collection will possess a unique character, promising to captivate discerning travelers at some of Vietnam’s most glamorous ports,” stated Pham Ha, Founder and CEO of LuxGroup. “This fusion of yachting and cruising will redefine luxury travel for those seeking a relaxed, elegantly casual, and pampered experience.”
Carefully crafted itineraries are in the works, designed to blend the lifestyle of LuxGroup’s luxury resorts with the freedom of yachting vacations, merging luxury with exploration on the high seas. These journeys will range from seven to ten nights, with the inaugural yacht embarking on diverse routes throughout the seasons, including a 5-night voyage in the Tonkin Gulf, a seven-day journey through Central Vietnam, and a ten-night odyssey to Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City.
The Lux Yacht Collection’s SPIRIT, a vessel built with great pride and inspired by the esteemed King of Ships, Bach Thai Buoi (1874-1932), commemorates the centenary of its maiden voyage in Hai Phong. A century ago, Bach Thai Buoi introduced the Binh Chuan ship and owned a fleet of 30 vessels sailing under the Vietnamese flag on Vietnamese waters, from North to South.
The first of two vessels, SPIRIT and PRESIDENT, in the Lux Yacht Collection offers an authentic experience, tracing the path of Bach Thai Buoi through the Gulf of Tonkin (Lan Ha, Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long – Van Don), leading to Tourane (Da Nang) or Nha Rong – Sai Gon (Ho Chi Minh City). Passengers will immerse themselves in Vietnam’s culture, history, art, and its people while marveling at the natural wonders. Heritage enthusiasts will have the opportunity to discover, learn, respect, celebrate, and enjoy.
Thanks to the intimate size of the vessel, the yacht will visit unique locations typically inaccessible to larger cruise ships. With a relaxed pace that includes both overnight and daytime port visits, guests will enjoy a meticulously curated destination experience, blending the best of land and sea.
Every aspect of SPIRIT’s design was created with guests in mind, offering spaces that invite luxury travellers to embrace beauty, tranquility, and relaxation after exciting days ashore. This specially designed small-capacity vessel will measure 190 meters, 7 floors, accommodate up to 1000 day trippers and 300 overnight passengers, and boast 150 suites, each featuring a private terrace. The yacht will also include two lavish penthouse suites spanning 159 square meters, with modern craftsmanship and interior finishes jointly designed by The LuxGroup and the leading cruise ship design firm, Box Design. The onboard experience will reflect the sublime comfort and unparalleled level of personalized guest service for which the iconic LuxGroup brand is renowned—a first in the cruise industry.
“The LuxGroup is synonymous with legendary, innovative service and high standards,” remarked Pham Ha, Chief Executive Officer of The Lux Yacht Collection. “Our hospitality expertise will deliver the most exclusive yachting experience at sea, redefining curated luxury travel.”
Throughout the journey, guests will indulge in an unparalleled cruising style, setting new standards in ultra-luxury cruising and private yachting. Lux yacht collection’s SPIRIT will feature restaurants, shops, an art gallery, onboard movies, a signature WHITE LOTUS Spa, and multiple lounges offering a wide array of onboard entertainment.
Furthermore, the yacht will provide unique, curated destination experiences through collaborations with local chefs, musicians, and artists, allowing guests to engage with the destinations in distinctive and experiential ways, both onboard and ashore. The second made-in-Vietnam ship, PRESIDENT, is expected to be delivered by 2030.
