LuxGroup Foundation, the philanthropic arm of LuxGroup, has completed the “Lighting Up the Rocky Highlands” community project in Lung Sinh Hamlet, Pho Bang Commune, Tuyen Quang Province, installing 30 solar-powered lights along the village’s main road and at the local school.
Situated within the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, Lung Sinh is a remote mountain hamlet where access to infrastructure remains limited. The community is home to 68 households, including 56 families classified as poor or near-poor. Before the project, the lack of public lighting made traveling after dark difficult, particularly for children and elderly residents.
The newly installed solar-powered lights help improve visibility and safety along key routes used by local residents every day, while also providing a more secure environment around the village school.
The project was implemented with the support of Ha Giang Youth Volunteers, Lux Cruises Group, local authorities in Lung Sinh and Pho Bang, and generous donors. During the visit, the volunteer team also delivered rice, warm blankets, and school supplies to several disadvantaged households, offering practical support to local families.
The initiative reflects LuxGroup Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting underserved communities through practical and sustainable projects. Alongside community development programs, the Foundation continues to promote environmental responsibility and contribute to the long-term well-being of destinations where LuxGroup operates.
