Lux Cruises Group Targets Luxury Travelers in the USA and North America
Pham Ha, the Founder and CEO of Lux Cruises Group, is set to collaborate with the HCM City Tourism Department to showcase their expertise in authentic and unique heritage cruising in North America. This event is scheduled for October in Los Angeles and IMEX Las Vegas.
Lux Cruises Group, a privately-owned company that includes Emperor Cruises and Heritage Cruises, was established by Pham Ha in Hanoi in March 2014. Originally operating in Nha Trang Bay, Halong, Bai Tu Long, Lan Ha Bay, and soon Saigon River, Phu Quoc Island City, it takes pride in its fleet of six boutique vessels, tenders, and speedboats, offering luxury experiences in the best rivers, bays, islands, beaches, and archipelagos of Vietnam.
In September 2019, Lux Cruises Group launched a new 20-cabin ship named Heritage Binh Chuan, offering three-night voyages in the Cat Ba Archipelago and Lan Ha Bay, just off Hai Phong. The Cat Ba Archipelago was recognized as a world heritage site in 2023.

The cruise is a newly built version of the Binh Chuan ship, originally launched by ship king Bach Thai Buoi, the first Vietnamese to sail a ship from Hai Phong to Saigon.

Calling for Investors
Cruise tourism in Vietnam, despite being a top favorite ocean destination among 156 beach nations and contributing 67.3% of the country’s total tourism revenue, has not been adequately promoted. Cruise tourists account for only 2-3% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam.
