This July, LuxGroup Foundation will launch the Clean Water for Schools Project at Rao Con Village School in Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province. The initiative aims to improve access to safe drinking water for students and teachers while contributing to a healthier learning environment in this remote mountain community.
Rao Con Village is home to the Bru–Van Kieu ethnic minority. The local school currently serves 51 primary and lower secondary students. Due to its remote location, access to basic infrastructure remains limited, and the school continues to face challenges in ensuring a safe and reliable water supply.
At present, the school relies mainly on water collected from nearby mountain streams. Although sufficient for daily use, the water is not suitable for drinking without proper treatment. Providing clean and safe drinking water has therefore become one of the school’s most urgent needs.
In response, LuxGroup Foundation will install a centralized water filtration system capable of removing sediment, impurities, and contaminants from the existing water source. Once completed, the system will provide clean water for both daily use and drinking, benefiting students, teachers, and school staff.
Alongside the clean water project, LuxGroup Foundation will donate books, educational materials, school supplies, children’s clothing, and sports equipment to support teaching and learning activities at the school.
The Foundation also welcomes donations of new or gently used books, school supplies, children’s clothing, and sports equipment from employees, partners, clients, and friends who wish to contribute to the project. LuxGroup Foundation accepts in-kind donations only.
The Clean Water for Schools Project is part of LuxGroup Foundation’s long-term commitment to supporting local communities through practical and sustainable initiatives.
